That's not a pure Faverolle, not heavy enough feathering on the legs. In fact, can't see any feathering on the legs at all. So the usual rules for sexing Salmon Faverolles are out the window.

it's only 1 1/2 weeks old. Feathering is not visible from that angle but the legs are feather-ridden.

If he was "double barred" then all his babies should be barred, if he was "single barred" then half his babies should be barred. Barring is sex-linked dominant I think. Now I started talking genetics... gonna stop here before I get into too much detail and bore you lol

I have 3 pips! Now to go to bed and wake up tomorrow with 3 chicks? They were supposed to hatch on Saturday, what's the deal? My hatches are ALWAYS late. New 'bator is doing a good job!
