"Oh yes, I do like Masala. It's good in curry." She reached down and picked up the fruit.

The creatures gasped in horror as she picked the burning fruit up.

"MESALA, MESALA!" One of them roared in its tiny voice. "AUSTABULA MER BARTONULA FERROPON!!" It shouted angrily as they all picked up sticks and began to beat speedy with them vigorously.

(Big tail, at least three back legs. Big, patient-looking eyes, gentle giant vibe, etc.)

The creatures gasped in horror as she picked the burning fruit up.

"MESALA, MESALA!" One of them roared in its tiny voice. "AUSTABULA MER BARTONULA FERROPON!!" It shouted angrily as they all picked up sticks and began to beat speedy with them vigorously.

Speedy screeched and began running away at top speed. She blindly threw the flaming orange backward, and it landed in a particularly dray spot, which immediately caught fire! She continues to screech and run and sticks were thrown her way.

"Abucul stabbay!" One of them squealed after her as they carefully scooped up the smoldering fruit and returned to their interrupted ritual.
The scaredy one climbed out of the hole a minute later and said "Har beener finishtad."
("I told you so").
None of the others would speak to him for a few minutes after that, grumpy at their apparent mockery.

Speedy continued running until the area was far behind her. She soon came to a lovely forest, and decided to climb a sticky pine tree.
