Quote: I usually do the corn later in the evening before they coop for the night. Severe temps I do a morning and evening feeding, about half a cup per goose. Mine don't over eat, and I just adjust according to leftovers.

I have a brown chinese STILL laying. I took all but 2 eggs so she continues with the same nest! The rest were frozen and cracked so they went to the hogs. Crazy, but she was a late year hatch so I think her cycle is off.
Just thought I'd drop a hint [we're still waiting for pics]I have a brown chinese STILL laying. I took all but 2 eggs so she continues with the same nest! The rest were frozen and cracked so they went to the hogs. Crazy, but she was a late year hatch so I think her cycle is off.
Are you hatching this year?
Quote: Oh yes, just don't want to brood geese in the winter, way too messy indoors. I have an order for 90 goslings (my vet) so I kept extra hens this year.
Quote:I am hoping for a new phone next month or someone to take pics, ugh. Babies are almost adults! I have a vacant bantam coop she has chosen to hide eggs.![]()
I'd love to do something like that but lack of space makes it not good here, so I ferment their feed and buy greens at the grocery. Let us know how it goes and with pics if possible.I am going to stary doing fodder for my geese in the next few weeks. The geese, ducks, muscovys (I dont count them as ducks. They r my mutant babies), turkeys and chickens all love greens so I thought I would do fodder. Plus its delicious and nutrious!! ( read with a little tune!) Wow I am in a good mood this morning!!!![]()
Winter goslings are hard to raise since there is no grass so and can't go out in the cold water so it's understandable!
Are you going to hatch 90 goslings? Wow
Awesome to be in a good mood, I love to be around cheerful folks! I will be starting sprouts myself this week since the freeze is coming also. Geese love lots of greens.I am going to stary doing fodder for my geese in the next few weeks. The geese, ducks, muscovys (I dont count them as ducks.
