ive around 7 goose breeds and my africans always are the first ones that start the breeding season!

Same here. Last year, I got my 1st African egg on valentine's day. I wouldn't be surprised if they start earlier this year, as we have had an extremely mild January so far.

Haha my first african egg was on st patricks day and we were gonna call da gosling patrick ,but the egg wasent fertile (first ones laid are rarely fertile

i might get a pic of my new african pic tomorrow ! because im indtroducing them to the flock ! i put a few africans with the new pair before hand so they will stay with africans ,yesterday my new pair were fighting with my other pair >:-( my pair lost! So i think my new africans will manage to be unbullied in the flock

Great pictures! I would love to get some geese, had a Toulouse and a Chinese as a kid, just got back into chickens too. Where you guys suggest on purchasing a pair? Haven't been too impressed with hatchery reviews with chickens and have been hatching my own. Not sure of the success rate of geese, would rather get hatchlings. Thanks!
