Help! Are my husband's geese girls or boys?
hu.gif

We are first time geese owners, and though we love them dearly, we have no clue what sex they are. They are 7 weeks old today.

Is it too soon to tell?

Thanks!

I am not an expert but they look like the geese I have. The one with the darker head stripe is probably a gander..also check & see if his cheeks are a bit fuller than the other ones as ganders usually have fuller cheeks than the goose..
also as I am learning...the gander tends to walk around with his head stretched out making gander noises..honks..but his voice is a higher pitch than the girls. my gander Jack.... the goose ...Hermine

Also as they get older the goose will get a fluffy underside and the gander will not ...her bottom looks like a southern lady in pantaloons!!

As I said not an expert but always willing to help and learn!!

The 3rd pic you can see that the smallest one furthest away has a low bottom that is more low and circular then the two large ones and that one is female
The two larger ones are males and in the first pic the two males are in front while the female is behind both should
Basically to make it easy the smallest one you have is a female there are two larger ones and the are males

Okay, sorry that these are so late, but here are some (hopefully) better pics of our 3 geese that my husband insisted I post (he's hoping for 2 girls, one boy

). Any suggestions on sex are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the three together

And here are the three separately:
