and the neck moves just as fast! When I go for eggs, I grasp all of the hens tail and lift her. Her instinct is to go forward. I grab up eggs and we are done without a pinch lol! My chinese are prettty broody but my emben hens are worse, lol.

It is snowing a lot, and my gander's beak is bright red. He seems fine, but I'm worried he's frostbit. He has a sheltered place to go in, but he doesn't go in. He is my first, so I'm just a little worried.

What is his breed? We have had -12 degrees here and my geese still stay outside. Not a single case of frostbite in about 250 or so geese the last few years. They rarely go in the goose house unless the hens have eggs. Just be sure there is a spot with dry bedding like hay or straw outdoors, and of course in the house. They are a very resilient bird, he will surprise you.

At this point, I would be very afraid to use any thing around the newly hatched goslings coming out of the eggs. if they are pipping, removing them could shrink wrap them, very bad situation. then they need assistance hatching. Is the mother brooding on them, normally she wont leave when they pip unless its very hot out, even then its unlikely.

She has been sitting on them more an more she's not quite a year old yet but she is learning very fast she's been doing great today I just noticed they were oozing cleanish goo i took the eggs due to the ants I have then under a heat lamp with a cup of water an a sponge to try an have it humid but ther is no piping yet

Uh oh, did you notice any odors? Oozing is not a good sign. Do you have a bright flashlight, if so you can carefully candle the eggs.
