The African and Chinese goose thread!!

I just have to announce that we finally have goslings. Last year they laid and brooded with 0 results. This year all 3 girls laid and brooded. I have 3 girls and 2 males. Now we have 4 babies. What really surprised me is how all 5 geese met where the goslings were hatched. It was like a meeting at the maternity ward. They seemed so proud and actually looked like they were saying "Ladies they are so beautiful and they look just like their daddies" This is a first time for me. I feel like a gramma!

I noticed 2 eggs kicked from Mama goose's nest today. I set them back in front of her, she turned her head. Candled and they were clears, well on the way to rotting....eww! I could smell them once I picked them up.Can't wait to see the babies, should be any day now

I have a bulkier type of African and it take about 35 days for her eggs to hatch right?

I finally got a gander to go with my goose. I was told Chinese almost a year old. Any one confirm that? He's molting and has angel wing. He came from a pen so taking a little bit getting used to swimming and roaming around the property. More interested in hanging with the ducks, but the goose is following them around some. I figure that will remedy in time.

Heres my pretty girl I rescued.

Will the offspring be a mix of the two some white some brown or a combination?
