The African and Chinese goose thread!!

I finally got a gander to go with my goose. I was told Chinese almost a year old. Any one confirm that? He's molting and has angel wing. He came from a pen so taking a little bit getting used to swimming and roaming around the property. More interested in hanging with the ducks, but the goose is following them around some. I figure that will remedy in time.

Heres my pretty girl I rescued.

Will the offspring be a mix of the two some white some brown or a combination?
Congrats on the gander and they are lovely! When mine interbreed, its always a brown chinese gosling from white x brown crosses. They will have some orange on the bills, and sometimes the brown on the chest will be splotchy or bibbed. I keep a trio of both, but don't separate them anymore. My ganders get along well, so its not been an issue. I originally only had 1 brown hen, and bought a pair the following year. Every one of her eggs that hatched were brown goslings, but fathered by my white gander, Gee.

I have a bulkier type of African and it take about 35 days for her eggs to hatch right?
From what I found, 28 to 30 days. My larger breed (embden) sometimes take as long as 35 days tho, so I would keep the eggs at least that long unless you notice odors.

Help!!!!!! One of my goslings got stepped on by the turkey tom and got cut!!! How can I fix this

How bad is it if it is bleeding alot use blood stop or flour if it's stopped bleeding then wash it out real good and apply something like neosporin or triple antibiotic or spray Veterycin you could also soak the lil ones foot in some warm epsom salt water just don't let it drink that it is also a laxative, keep as clean as possible and nothing with pain relief in it.

Poor thing well keep it warm and I'd diff put some kind antibiotic salve or spray on it just make sure it doesn't have pain relief in it. Did the turkey spur the gosling? I don't think I'd have goslings in with mature poultry .Hopefully after a day or 2 of rest it will be back on it's feet. How deep is the wound?

Anything with caine in it can kill poultry so if it does I'd give it a bath and wash it off.
