See, don't touch means once the goslings are staying outdoors, its best to keep them divided by a fence from the ganders. Some fellas are receptive to new geese, some are not. Same with hens if they aren't their own hatch. The best method to comingling is to to keep the separated but able to see one another up close and "talk". I've raised all species of poultry and waterfowl I kept this way, and works well. after 2 weeks or so they are socialized.

Ok little problem. My one gander Mr Roper has a bill issue. It may be that he has scrapped it on chicken wire trying to get a muscovy drake. Problem is I'm not sure if it's getting infected. Any suggestion on what I can use on it?

You could try putting some ACV into his drinking water and as he washes his face he'll be cleaning his wound. You could try some antibiotic ointment but mine keep their heads in their buckets so much the only time I use it is at night when I put them up since i don't put food and water inside with them. When my gander injured his bill the ACV in water cleared it up real well. 1-2Tab to 1 gallon of water. Mine don't mind ACV in their water at all I use it as a tonic for them too.@cedarhedge

Okay so I have a problem my goose is broody so I think but we don't have a gander.my muscovey started laying so I was giving her the eggs she has five.she doesn't understand how to what I call pancake cover the eggs are is she just not quite ready she wants more eggs.

Geese are not the same as ducks and chickens in their brooding method.They still manage to brood and hatch though. I've never seen my goose "pancake" .If she is sitting and only getting up to get a bite to eat and bath and poop then she is most likely broody. Usually geese will gather around 8-9 eggs before they commit.So you may want to give her some more. I am thinking of giving my goose some Runner eggs once she goes broody.

well she wouldn't get off for like five days.right new she is off.

Make sure she gets off at least 1x a day or she'll get completely run down. I have had to go inside their house and literally pick my goose up and sit her outside once she is out she goes and does what she needs too. But boy they can get in the brood zone.
