The age old question… pullet or cockerel

Hey chicken community!
I have 10 five week old chicks, a handful of which I’ve been raising for a friend while he gets his coop built. These two speckled Sussex are the same age but their tails look totally different, one shorter and more upright and one longer and sitting flat. My friend will be getting one of these two this weekend and he can have Roos but I cannot so I’m trying to discern if this tail difference indicates sex at all. Thanks in advance!

5 weeks old is pretty young still, but pictures of the face and individual side shots of each bird would be helpful. Also, if you want more traction/attention for your post, you should post questions like this in the "What Breed or Gender is This?" category under the Chicken Breeds forum.

Tails don't indicate gender at this age.
Doesn't matter too much where you post, as long as its not wildly off, the same people will answer.
