I'm supposed to get some plumbing work done. Then I need to wash super old drapes that might not make it through the wash. Deal with the hermit crab tank, finish laundry, get out Christmas decorations for Duckling's new tree. Fix an issue with the run door. Maybe work on getting some crushed limestone in there. Perhaps making a new run.

MIL and Aunt liked those. I prefer real trees.

This is 32", for her bedroom. The only living (potted) trees were just a few odd branches, or half brown.
I do hope for a real tree this year, but availability and my anxiety will decide.
Long story, but I hope this makes enough sense. I'm plagued by my husband saying to his mother that it would be stupid to decorate the house for just me. He didn't fix that "oh no he didn't!!! " comment the following year, and decorating for Christmas (everything about Christmas!) was actually an ongoing issue. The next year he had left. So, last year I decorated early (November 17th) because I had the nerve to do it, and didn't want to lose it. At two, Duckling needed that memory.
This year I just want to have time to enjoy the season with Duckling.

Husband was wondering where to put the Christmas tree. I think it would be neat to have one outside on the deck. Like a live tree with roots bundled up in a pot , or burlap. Sounds different.

We had quite a few potted trees growing up. I think it would be great to do here.

I fell tonight. I was carrying Crazy Cat and stepped over the dog. Normally she just lays there. Tonight she started to get up and i tripped and fell on both knees. Life can sure suck.
