Chicxulub was still running when she began to notice the scenery looked familiar. Yes, there was the stream where she had caught the squirrel, and there was where she had run into Fang…wait, had she been running in circles this whole time? She snarled in frustration, unconsciously walking towards Fang’s den without noticing.

Chicxulub was following the scent of the other wolf when she caught Fang’s too. Forgetting that she had told herself not to trust him, she called out “Fang! Fang, where are you! It’s me, it’s Chicxulub!”

Chicxulub pauses. She could have sworn she had heard another wolf talking, probably the one she had smelled. But hadn’t Fang said he was alone?
”Fang! I’m sorry I left, I didn’t mean what I said…where are you?” she called.
