"I'm going to have pups!" Hilina nearly shouted in her excitement.

Hilina’s jaw dropped. “No. Way.” she took a second for the great news to sink in. She then went back to her squealing and jumping.

“We’re not coming back until you tell the truth,” Álfr said lowly, planting her feet farther apart to take a wider stand to prove her point.

Uhtred was curious about the wolf, “Taken where?” he asked, his tail wagging slightly. He was still barely under a year old and still had that curious puppy nature though he tamped it down as much as he could.

Blazer shook his head. He just couldn't. But he tried. "Dar-. He-. Me and-" He just couldn't say what needed to be said. "What does it matter?" He blurted out.

Ted's smile went away. "I don't want to talk about it." He replied as his hackles raised. That place he had been was terrible and he rather forget about it.

Aspen giggled loudly.

Hazel smiled after hearing her pups. She wished Timmy would have been there, with her, to hear, too.

Cody stopped and started licking her more. His tail wagged wildly because he was happy.

“No, actually, most of us were not right next to the river, and most of us did not try to cross said river, and most of us certainly did not fall in, needing to be rescued, therefore, threatening the whole group’s lives!” Jax lost it, he could tell that Timmy was hiding something, and he wanted to learn the truth

Timmy grawled a little. "Whoa, whoa, whoa." Hunter intruppted. "Let's not fight." He stood in between them. "Maybe we should just head back before the pack starts to worry."

Brynn sped up. Up ahead, there was a tree branch crossing her path, so she slid under it. Suddenly, she started falling. She was escalating down a mudslide. She tumbled down, picking up speed as she went.

Owen followed her until the tree branch. He couldn't get under it, so he jumped over it. Then he realized that he had made a mistake.

“It obviously does if you’re hiding it from me. I’ve never hidden anything from you,” Álfr growled, warning him that his defensiveness just made things worse.

“Oh,” Uhtred managed, his tail dropping and his ears going down but his hackles raising slightly as a survival instinct.

"And how do I know that?" Blazer started to argue. "If you've got any dark secrets, how'd I know if they're a secret?" He had a little grawl to his voice. He tried turning the topic around and taking the focus off of himself.

Ted nodded a little. He stepped back once more and sniffed the air. He still hadn't taken his eyes off of Uhtred.

Aspen licked him back, her tail was doing the same. She then span around in a circle and started licking him again.

“You aren’t even going to ask why he was straying away from the group?” Jax asked Hunter.

Brynn finally tumbled to the bottom. The air had been knocked out of her, so she laid flat on the ground trying to regain her breath.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!!” Dahlia couldn’t calm down. “I’m so happy for you!!”

"And how do I know that?" Blazer started to argue. "If you've got any dark secrets, how'd I know if they're a secret?" He had a little grawl to his voice. He tried turning the topic around and taking the focus off of himself.

Ted nodded a little. He stepped back once more and sniffed the air. He still hadn't taken his eyes off of Uhtred.

“You obviously don’t want us back then,” Álfr whispered dangerously, “but if you must, ask me anything, anything at all and you will get the truth, which is more than you deserve right now.”
Owl looked nervously between his alphas, not sure if he should be privy to any of the information that might be said.

“What’s the matter?” Uhtred asked, his tone deflated slightly.

Cody jumped back to his hind legs and yipped happily.

“You aren’t even going to ask why he was straying away from the group?” Jax asked Hunter.

"Is it my concern?" Hunter asked as if he was looking for advice. "If he doesn't want to say, then there's no point in forcing him. I'm still getting to know him. Both of you." Hunter smiled at Jax.

Brynn finally tumbled to the bottom. The air had been knocked out of her, so she laid flat on the ground trying to regain her breath.

Owen tumbled down too. The wind also got knocked out of him. He laid there wondering what happened.
