Timmy started coming to a little. Not very much, just enough to faidly hear some things. He thought he heard a female wolf speaking, but he wasn't sure. He also thought he heard someone screaming. He hoped it was someone that he didn't like that was screaming in terror, but he wasn't sure.

(Bad bad Timmy!)

Hazel waited patiently for Vito. Or at least she was mostly patient. There was also a lot of pacing, jumping, playing with herself and checking up on the mysterious wolf. She felt like she had been waiting forever. Then suddenly a booming shriek came from above! She hopped up and down in excitement. She had to stop because she was shaking the ground, and she didn’t want to wake her new friend. The vulture swooped down and landed right next to her. He dropped what he had been holding in his mouth and screamed again. He was very proud of himself.

“Way to go, Vito!” She was very proud of him also. He had brought back a fat rabbit. It looked fresh. She wagged her tail. She was used to not eating much so she didn’t mind that it was just a rabbit.

They set some aside for the other wolf and gobbled down the remains.

Macaw bounced along till he came to the bottom of Bobcat Falls. He stopped and lapped up some of the river's cold water.
