Hazel heard a loud thump. She removed her paws from her face. “Timmy!” She yelled. She was still shaking uncontrollably. She ran to his side. “Oh, come on, Timmy.” Her teeth were still chattering. She licked his face multiple times. Her breathing was very hard.
Timmy was only out cold for a couple of minutes. He woke back up to the feel of Hazel licking his face. "Huh- what happened?" Timmy asked very quietly and weakly.

“Don’t scare me like that!” She pushed up against him.
"Huh?" Timmy whispered. He was still laying on the cave's cold floor not moving, but he was awake and looked at Hazel.

“You almost got us killed, that’s what. You marched right up into a nest of bats. AND LIGHTNING!! And then you passed out!” She kept shaking remembering everything that had just happened. “But everything’s fine now.” She told him reassuringly. She was still terrified, but she was glad he was awake again.

"Oh?" Timmy said still weakly. "What is a bats?" He's never even heard of a bat before, much less seen one. It scared him badly, though passing out had calmed him down.

“Yup, just bats. I’ve seen them before. You’re just a little jumpy, that’s all.” She laughed at him and licked his face again.

"Me? Jumpy?" He asked, then he got it. "Oh." Timmy chuckled a little. That strengthened him some, so he regathered his feet to try standing up again, but he quickly discovered that he was too weak to even lift his body off the ground.

“You push yourself too hard.” She told him. The thunder crashed again, and she jumped.

The thunder startled Timmy a little too, but then he laughed. "Me a little jumpy?" He repeated Hazel's words from a couple of minutes ago.
