Blazer was trying to hide it, and didn't realize that Álfr had noticed. The thoughts of that wolf was thick in his head almost taunting him. He shook his head suddenly trying to shake the last memory of that wolf out.

Timmy nodded his head. Then he took off in full speed toward the strangeness ahead, and was soon out of sight...

Alfr licked his forehead tentatively, comfortingly.

Hazel heard his howl, but she decided to wait a little longer.

Dreki had dove off in the direction of one of the other fires. He flew over two wolves and what seemed to be a vulture. He flew quiet as was possible for a full grown megabat of his size... which wasn't very quiet.

Hazel was still aggressively pacing. She was trying so hard to convince herself to stay where she was that she had heard him.

As quickly as he had left, Timmy was back, but this time, he was badly burned and quickly running out of energy. "Run Hazel!" He demanded. "Or it'll consume you too!"

Blazer looked at her with an accidental tear falling out of his eye. He didn't notice that she was there, and felt a little awkward about himself. Trying to protect himself, he suddenly grawled at her loudly, hoping that she wouldn't dig deeper into his past pain.

(Ah, my personal favourites are the Egyptian vulture and the bearded vultures... we used to have turkey vultures everywhere when I lived in AZ!)

Hazel limped as fast as she could. “What happened, Timmy?” She noticed his wounds, but she was still curious and worried.

(Those are pretty, I must agree! The Turkey Vultures are rather common, but can be nice to have on clean up duty. )
