"Was anyone else there? Your traitor friend wasn't, right?" She was really very clueless about everything because Timmy hadn't told her much.

"I didn't see or hear from anybody." Timmy told her, with a hint of sadness in his tone. "The fire prevented me from getting to our camp. That's why I got burned trying to get to them, but couldn't."

Hato nodded his head in agreement. His fur was starting to feel like it was almost crawling. "I wonder what it is."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Timmy." Hazel put her head down. "I'm sure they made it out safe though." She tried to reassure him. She didn't want him to feel sad. She knew how it felt to be alone. She then wondered if her parents could have died in a fire and started feeling sad herself.
