Jock cocked his head looking at her, then said quietly, "But Toshikazu and Freya is the Betas of my pack..."

Jock looked at her confused. He was a Lower Mid Ranker in the Sayuki Pack, and that pack already had its Betas. "Na-" Jock turned his head away in complete disbelief. "I could nevah be a Beta."

Sherbert realized what she had said and flushed... but of course no one could see that because of her fur... She looked at him sadly. "Let me see your paws," she whispered, limping towards him, glass falling from her side.

Jock sat down. It was his two front paws that had glass in them. "Ya know," Jock started to say, "you should rest. I can get help in my own pack."

Sherbert sniffled at that slightly but tried to keep it to herself as she started taking the glass from his paws anyway. "I am beta of this territory and while you're here it's my duty to take care of you," she said, it was only a half truth.
