Now that Hazel was safely on the other side, Timmy got out of the river and stepped away from her to shake the water out of his fur. As he walked back towards her, he realized that the rain seemed to be gone now, which pleased him.
Hazel watched Timmy. He was so brave. “Thanks, Timmy.” She said with a very soft smile. She was feeling a bit uneasy after that whole thing. Timmy had just saved her life, again.
Timmy nodded his head. "Want to take a break?" He asked shockingly kindly for him.
“Sure,” she said with her normal contended tone. Hazel had Vito hop off of her. He shook himself out multiple times before he decided to start preening. She shook out her fur and stretched out her legs. She then focused on the claw marks Vito had left.
Timmy nodded, then went to the river's bank. He was watching for something when he suddenly leaped in. His jaws latched onto what he was hunting. He turned around with his fresh catch and after jumping back out, he laid down to start eating his large fish.
Hazel watched Timmy. She got a bit worried until she saw what he was really doing. She plopped herself down on the ground and continued to watch Timmy.
Timmy was a little hungry, so he chewed and tore away at the fish until he had his fill. There was still some left over when he was done, so he left it not too far away from Vito. He didn't offer any to Hazel because he assumed that she was probably still full from that leftover rabbit that he had left her earlier.
Vito hopped over to what Timmy had left for him. He quickly choked it down. He was still hesitant around Timmy, but he was hungry. Hazel smiled with her eyes. She liked this side of Timmy.
Watching Vito, Timmy asked actually sounding polite, "Okay, is everyone ready to get moving again?"
“I am,” she told him and stood up, “Vito?” He let out a gurgling screech and jumped onto her back again.
