Myranda whinned. Everything was ash around her so she couldn't hide, so she decided to try playing dead. She was painfully hurting from all her burns anyways. She laid down on her side and closed her eyes thinking maybe the large bird would think she's dead and leave her alone.

He flew down gently beside her and looked her over, he gently pulled a piece of ash off her ears.
