Hazel heard him but didn’t understand. She couldn’t leave Timmy. He was the only one she knew and trusted. She loved him. After what she just watched she didn’t want to leave him ever again. She stammered but didn’t leave. She was starting to get very anxious. She needed to hear it from Timmy.

Ade looked at him. "Blind," she drawled quietly.

Ashera picked up on what Ade said but was still hurt by Jock's nervousness.
