Hunter heard Hazel's howl, and could tell that she was close, so he quickly went to her.

Hazel kept running, but there was no howl back. She hoped the howler was still close.

Hearing yet another howl, Hunter stopped to answer that one too. He was warning of danger, for there was a Mountain Lion out there.

Then she heard it again. It was even closer.

Tatsuya again listened for the direction of this strange howl, trying to pinpoint where it was.

Hato decided to go to the stream for water too. He didn't realize that Tatsuya was there already.
