Alexander's heart leaped for joy. "Sure!" He said. Trying to be polite, he told her, "You go first, please."

"Umm, well. Have you ever had a mate before?" She asked.

"Sure!" Hilina replied.

"Okay!" Dahlia trotted over to the lake.

"Oh, right, Timmy was being weird," Hazel remembered. "Um, no, he isn't around right now. H-he was being weird though," she admitted.

"Weird?" Hato tilted his head. "What do you mean? Can you please tell me."

"Umm, well. Have you ever had a mate before?" She asked.

"Ahh..." Alexander pretended to be thinking about it. "No. Not yet. You?"

"Okay!" Dahlia trotted over to the lake.

Hilina raced over. Splashing along the shoreline, she searched for turtles.

"Ahh..." Alexander pretended to be thinking about it. "No. Not yet. You?"

Ginger looked to the two girls who were playing with turtles. "No, but I have always wanted one." She said honestly.

"Yeah." She replied. "No one has seemed to like me like that, I guess."

"Weird?" Hato tilted his head. "What do you mean? Can you please tell me."

"Well, he was just acting kind of-," Hazel thought about it for a minute trying to find the right word. "Harsh," she continued, "he was being harsh, and kind of standoffish." She shrugged. "He also said he would be back soon, and he isn't yet," Hazel remembered.

"I found one!" Dahlia exclaimed, pointing to the turtle she had just found.
