Timmy followed the scent a ways. He could smell pups, and other wolves. Suddenly, he smelled a very strong scent, and it was that of an Alpha.
Hunter was out hunting for his mate when he caught the scent of another wolf- and he recognized it. Cautiously, he went to check it out. Hiding behind a young hemlock tree, he spotted Timmy sniffing around. He sighed in relief that it wasn't anyone dangerous.
Timmy suddenly paused. He sensed that he was being watched. Looking around, and following his nose, it didn't take him long to pin point the other wolf. He smiled and started walking towards Hunter.
Knowing that he was discovered, Hunter came out into the open. "Timmy? Where is your mate?" Hunter asked. Timmy quickly got down as submissive as one wolf could get. He knew he had to figure out something quickly for Hazel and her future pups. Hunter was slightly surprised by Timmy's reaction.
"Can I help you?" Hunter asked Timmy surprised. "I've been kicked out of my pack." Timmy humbly replied. "My mate is going to have pups, and I don't know what to do." That fact was bothering Timmy deeply, to almost the point of tears, though he was trying his best to hide it.
Hunter thought about that for a minute. He thought of how rude Timmy was the last time he saw him. Then he thought about what Timmy said about Hazel going to have pups. Hunter assumed that is why Timmy got kicked out of his pack. He figured that Timmy had pups without asking first, and got into trouble because of that.
Hunter sighed at that thought, but had compassion on Timmy because of Hazel. "Ok." Hunter replied trying to be strict. "I'll help you and let you and your mate join my pack, but you must first do me something." Timmy stayed where he was and asked, "What do you want me to do?"
"Bring me a hoofed animal that YOU killed yourself. Whether it be a goat, deer, or something bigger, but YOU have to kill it. No stealing or anything. I have wolves in my pack that can tell if it's stolen, and IF they discover it stolen, my whole pack will chase the both of you far away from here." Hunter told Timmy sternly. "I am ok with your mate helping you, but nobody else."
Timmy swallowed hard. It sounded hard, but he knew he must follow through. "Ok." Timmy agreed. "I'll do it." Hunter nodded approvingly and Timmy got up and left. He didn't know how or where he was going to get what Hunter requested, but he knew he must do it.
