Cody felt around and started nursing. He whimpered happy whimpers.

Timmy wagged his tail when he figured out what was happening.
Hazel started crying again. This time, the tears were not sad ones. They weren’t filled with worry for herself, and the other pups that were still inside of her. These tears were for the miracle that was sitting right next to her, nursing.

"It's all ok." Timmy told Hazel softly.

Cody nursed peacefully.

"Ahh..." Hilina nervously looked at the ground. "Dahlia?" She looked at Dahlia for answers.

“Oh, um, well. I guess we were talking about you,” Dahlia’s eyes widened as she realized what she had just said. “I mean we weren’t talking about you. We were talking about pups!” she tried to fix it.

King turned his head to the side in confusion. “Ok…” he replied, not sure what to say next.

“Oops,” Dahlia whispered to Hilina. She wasn’t good under pressure, and she was a terrible liar. “I think Hilina was wanting to go on a walk, but my legs hurt, so maybe you could take her?” she asked King.

Hilina's jaw dropped open in shock.
King, still puzzled, asked: “if you don’t mind, what are you doing here? Talking about pups? Here? Why not at camp?”

“Of course, I love helping out fiends!” He said, smiling.

“I know,” Hazel told him. “I just love him so much,” she sniffed. She watched Cody for a moment. “Do you think this is normal, or does he have siblings?” she asked Timmy. She didn’t think it was normal, but she really didn’t know.
