Becky stopped. She remembered going across the river when she had done that. "I don't know," she replied honestly. "Anyways, there was some other wolves too, and they were all fighting."

Hunter wasn't so sure. He was about to say something when...
"Shh.., what's going on?" Hato asked quietly. He observed Sherbert and wondered if she heard something or not.

Macaw picked up speed and was starting to get ahead of Chandi. He was hoping to get ahead enough to jump in a tree and be there for when Chandi came through. He figured that would work perfectly on catching what he thought was a cat. But just as he was getting faster, he started getting careless and wasn't playing great attention to direction, just watching Chandi. "Ha, ha," he laughed out loud about his speed, "I'd like to see that smelly Beta female try chasing me now." (He's referring to the Beta female of Sayuki Pack, but if you want Sherbert to hear that, she doesn't need to know who's he referring to. :p )

Kenai: surprised I have not heard about it if it was a fight like that then. *he stated in responce.* seemed no one in our pack had died from that fight thoug.

"Hunter was there." Becky told Kenai for proof. "You could ask him, but I don't know where he is right now."

Sherbert was definitely sure she heard something, and could make out words now too, “Smelly female beta?” she whispered to herself mostly, cocking her head, “that can’t be me, can it?” she asked astonished to the males.

Chandi found a tree with no low branches and climbed to the top of it, confident the strange small wolf couldn’t get to him there.

Macaw stopped before nearly running into a tree, though he didn't see it. All he saw was Chandi had stopped. He jumped up and grabbed the tree's trunk with all his legs. Then he slid down. "Ouch!" He yepped. He started jumping up at the tree like that was going to do anything. "Ok, ok." He said giving up. "I'm not done." He started eyeing the other trees for one to use to get up in Chandi's tree.

"What's going on?" Hato whispered to Sherbert. He walked over to her quietly and was wondering what was going on and what she had said. "Did you say something?"
Hunter walked next to Hato.

Chandi huddled on the very top branch, his tail wrapped on the branch and his ears back.

“Someone said something about a “smelly female beta”,” she said, cocking her head again. “That way I think,” she said pointing with her nose at where all the noise was coming from.
