Blue has a hard time diluting Melanotic which melanizes the top of the head and most of the head. This is more evident on Extended black birds.

Yes, that mutation you see on those hens is plain old blue and it will behave the same as Black/Blue/Splash breeding.

Okay. It's got an off white/yellow tinge to it. The picture somewhat shows it, but it's more noticeable in person. Will she only pass silver?

Would either of the male's I posted earlier be able to pass those? The only other option is a white orpington, which I figured had to be the dad because of the barring and pink legs

nice site thanks, but I grow few veg and the chickens don't get access to them, so it must be coming from one or more of the ornamentals or weeds or insects they forage; any useful links up your sleeve for them?
Is iron also responsible for the pink/plum bloom?
