Many of them, however, stayed by Adamya. As their mentor, they were loyal to her. As they unarmed learners spread out, they went after them, killing them with bows and arrows, daggers and other weapons that Adamya had in her store.
 
Beyral and Ninat, however, made it out fine, Beyral always had a weapon on her. She shot several learners with arrows, piercing right through the heart. They made it to the valley of the Tree safely.
 
Despite the fact that two escaped, 13 of them were killed. Their bodies left to rot in the remains of Hometree. "Well done" Adamya praised her followers, who were lined up in front of her with their heads bowed. "Let us go, their bodies will be found sooner or later."

"Yes Master." They said in unison, following her into the trees and away from Hometree.
 
Beyral and Ninat cried out. "Everyone!" Ninat cried. "Adamya has killed 13 learners. And she murdered Aley."
Shocked gasps rang throughout the valley of the Tree. The female who had run away with Ka'i hid behind a warrior in the valley. "Adamya will not be allowed here. She is clearly Skypeople." Chapica said, letting go of one of the drapes. Warriors that were standing below the ledge of the Tree of Voices let out war cries.
 
Adamya was too far away to hear them, but she knew in theory what would be happening. Behind her, the learners who had followed her fanned out through the trees, Swizav, Ikariyu, Alyara, Sylwanin, Hukato, Tsyla, Ataneko, Kiyeri, Eyktan, Yerik, Aketuan, Teylar, Alaina, Marali and Bakteyo.

The clan life resumed as usual, but was slightly different due to the destruction of Hometree. Chapica held on to her staff tightly, watching from the ledge that poured into the lush valley of the Tree. Chapica's tail snaked in different directions, and her ears were folded back angrily. Ihunial came behind her, placing a firm hand on her shoulder.
