UPDATE:

Ok, got the new chickies home safe and sound. Battled my first cases of pasty butts. I am still so upset about my Ideal babies

, but I cant help but be excited about the new ones.

I am not sure what they are..to help offset the sad/bad, here are a few pics of the new loves...there are 7, all bantams, 2 mottled cochins (thats what he told me anyways lol) and the other five I have no idea....he told me the name, but I didnt quite understand...he said something like a game hen???

the weird little chicks that I don't know what they are....any suggestions?

I can't beleive the horrible stories about the Post Office

! My husband is a mailman and he is horrified

! He says they get chick safely at his office all the time.

This week a batch came in and his supervisor said he called the lady to come get the chicks and she shrieked with excitement

The supervisor said "what's up with that? it's just a bunch of chickens

".

My husband said he just rolled his eyes and said "yeah, some people are like that "

What color legs do the chipmunk stripped ones have?

i have two different kinds that look like chipmunks....grey/green legs ameracauna and orange/yellos legs are Brown Leg Horns - Both are really friendly

The yellow looking one - Looks like My Red sex link. What color are its legs? I also have a yellow ameracauna with Grey/green legs

Oh i see the Yellow ones legs in the pic......My guess is Red Sex Link (cause it looks like mine, I actually know nothing!! LOL!)
