"They're gone." Vellora closed her eyes then slid off of Illykran's back.

"Stay close in case it happens again." He nodded.

"I think we are almost there." Vellora sat back down on the bench.

"Rather good it wasn't like last time." The other guard flopped back.

"Don't remind me." Vellora's neck was stiff and her face stressed at the thought.

Callabine flew in silence until they reached the Rivven border. "Rivven Base, this is Captain Callabine of the Terrellian Empire escorting Ambassador Vellora to Terrelis. Do we have permission to cross the border?"

Vellora waited patiently.

Illykran walked up to the divider and knocked on it. "Do you mind?" He gestured at the wall. "This is unnecessary. Plus the Ambassador will need to be in the viewer for the confirmation."

"Not necessarily. And besides, I don't have a viewer. I took it out the last time I updated the ship. It took up room that I needed for a special scanner." Callabine shrugged, then buzzed down the wall.
"Captain Callabine, you are allowed to pass the border."
"Thank you, Private Moku."
Callabine shot over the border, heading for the star illusion. "Have any of you been to Terrelis before?"
