Ne nodded. So far the pattern was that the slave houses were all the same. The servant houses were still standing. But the One master was in a Coma and the other was dead. A few were missing from the house. Trophy wives, or anyone not Grey Shard.

Kendra cried in his arms a while then settled down. "This place is cursed... it was supposed to be a safe place of joy.. and all these bad things keep happening." She sniffed.

He took a nice cruiser to a safe living moon. It had a nice atmosphere, lakes, forests, grass of many colors. "Here we are." He landed the cruiser. "Ship camping." He grinned.

He continued eating, taking occasional glances at her.

"Thank Glaux."  She sighed.  The reached the supply closet and she was issued cold weather gear.  She started putting it on. Then she actually smiled. "I feel like a marshmallow. It's all puffy."

.......... 28 hours later.  Two very fussy foals kept them awake most of the night.  Diva came and helped, she and Calliope took them out of the room so that Festus could rest and be alone with his wife. Hellaina seemed to be the same.  She hadn't opened her eyes since the first night, nor uttered another word.
