"Perhaps we should temporarily remove Ja'noth's vocal cords and teach him a lesson." Crut raised a brow.

"Don't tempt me" he growled. "But I would then have have to talk to his wife how that happen, but then again she might thank me. But I digress, As i said before, Leyal has a knack on getting in trouble, it something that seem to go higher the more you try to over protect her, as much as I hate to admit it." -_-'

Crut chuckled. "I know how much she likes a cold bath tub... she locks herself in her room for the rest of the day. Now you wanted to tell me something, I would like to hear it before we go."

"So thats how she got wet" he said.

"ah, yes, I believe you wanted to know about our ships?" he asked.

Callabine and Raine stood outside the council building. "Are you sure that you want to do this?" Raine asked quietly.

"I'm very sure, Commander."

Illykran sent a page to her just before the ship landed.

Raine led Callabine through the building to a pair of enormous bronze plated double doors, bigger than the main doors in Base. "After you," she said, ushering Callabine in. The High Council Chamber was a gigantic circular room, with white marble columns around the sides and a glass dome in the ceiling. Small trees and flowering vines sat in pots throughout the room. The Rivven High Council sat in chairs that were in a circle in the center of the room. They looked up as Callabine and Raine came in. Raine stepped past Callabine and took a seat in the only empty chair in the circle.

"Greetings, Captain Callabine Darkrunner of Centauria. We have invited you to this Council meeting to discuss your request.," the High Council leader said.

"We have been considering your request for several days now," another council member said. "While it is rather unusual, especially considering the time at which you have given this request, it is not unheard of, and in fact has been done several times before. But before we make a final decision on this matter, we would like to ask you some questions so that we know that you are serious about this."

"The first question," said another Council member, "is this: What are your reasons for wishing this rather drastic change upon yourself?"

later

Illykran and Gump stood on the landing pad as King Fejorn's massive shuttle landed.  He had five aids behind him , and five guards on either side.  The guard were all about as well built as Illy and they were all extremely attractive.  Fejorn only used the best in his service.

"Cutting it close Illy."  Gump huffed at him.

"I need to get home soon... you knew that.  She's due any day now... but now that Fejorn's here you can either go with me, or I am about to be stuck here."  He shook his head.  "That mare's ticked me off, she should be here out of respect for her own King."

Illykran and Orb bowed to Fejorn.  He was a dappled grey stallion and his white beard would drag on the ground if he didn't have his extremely beautiful aids carrying it in a split on either side.

"Sir Illykran."  The King actually bowed to him.

Illy returned it.  "King Fejorn."

"So sorry to hear about your losses."  He looked around for Ambassador Na'awna.  "My head guard will fill you in."

"Thank you my liege."  Illy bowed again and he and Gump stayed behind, and four of the Kings ten guards also stayed back.

"Man'o'war! "  A dark haired blue eyed head turner trotted up to Illykran.  They exchanged a manly hug. "It's been a long time."

"Indeed.  I see my training paid of and earned you a spot in the Kingsguard."  Illy smirked. "Your brother's about to become a busy man."

"She swears she's going to wait for you."

"She can't make herself wait for me... I may get stuck here longer.  I can't get a ship."

"What about the one you came in?"

"Not going to ask the pilot, I think she'd rather stay here anyhow."

"She?"

"You know me better than that, I take a hundred years or so in between."

"You technically already had that with Genessa. She left on that mission you didn't want her going on.  She should have listened to you."

"I am not getting into this right now son."  Illy raised a brow.  Then he gave him another hug.  "It is very good to see you."

"That guys new?"

"Bearol... he puts the rest of us to shame.  That and he likes the ladies."

Illy smirked.  "I know a girl he'd like.. but that would be cruel."  Gump chuckled after Illykran said that

"I don't know about that.  He's not been rejected yet."

"Oh well."  Illy sighed.

"By the way they are alive and doing well Gump." Ykrus nodded.

Gump fell to his knees and let out a deep sigh of relief.  "Thank you Ykrus.  I have been going out of my mind."

"Gump ole pal go on board." Illy smiled.  Gump pulled himself together then boarded Fejorn's ship.  A few moments later there was a shout and some squealing.  Then emerged Gump with his wife and two children one on each arm.  Gump ran over. "Did you do this?"

"Well Ykrus pulled it off."

"Illy your the best friend a guy ever had!"  Gump started choking up.

"Go back to your place, show the kids around, love your wife."  Illykran gave him a salute.

Gump and them ran off.  Ykrus looked over his father.  "You get onboard too, you look pale."

"I'm fine."  Illykran crossed his arms.

"Fejorn brought a healer with him.  Go you stubborn old mule."  Ykrus slapped his haunches.

"You owe me twenty for that."  Illy chuckled and boarded Fejorn's ship.

"On the matts it is."  Ykrus shook his head.

Bearol had been observing and came over with a cocky attitude. "So that's your old man?"

"Yes it is."

"Hmmm.  See I don't believe that, he looks about your age and in fact he looks younger.  But then again he was calling you son."  Bearol had a habit of talking down to other males.

"Don't mess with me Bearol."  Ykrus stood a hair taller than all the others.

He snorted then walked away.

Later Illy emerged looking much better and his vigor restored.  The four guards, including Ykrus, were still waiting outside. It was customary, as they were waiting to be called upon by Fejorn.

"So what's been going on... update me."  Illy sighed.

"You were pretty much sent everything.  The Condor asked for you, after all you two are the oldest bloaks we have."  Ykrus sighed.

"Nice way to talk about family son, I thought I taught you better than that."  Illy raised a brow.

"He's a jerk, and besides the shadow took both him and the Queen.... then he just now showed up again.  Somehow I doubt that's really him."

"He's an old friend... who's loss I already mourned fifty years ago..."  Something just dawned on him but he needed to look into it.  "Your mother was his sister, be respectful, he's the way he is for a reason.  Did the Queen come back?"

"No."  Ykrus sighed.  "I fear their survival.  Especially with the Drex attack they just started prepping for."

"Don't go."  Illy interrupted.

"You know I will."

"No you won't.  You are taking over for me.. I'll volunteer."

"Whoa there dad.  You hate fighting, and I am honored to do my duty.  I already signed up, they need Generals on the ground."  Ykrus sighed.

"I know how those things fight, I have had a chance to live a full life.  Don't make me outlive another child."  Illy was clearly upset.

Ykrus sighed.  "Very well."  He was not happy about it, but he knew what it did to him.  "Now I get take your crazy job.  I think I prefer the Drex."

Illy slapped him on the back of the head.
(Ooh, he got Gibbs-slapped! :lau)
Callabine stood quietly, waiting for the Council to make a decision. They had finished questioning her a few minutes ago, and were now telepathically talking among themselves. She hoped that they would agree to her request. The fact that Raine was for the decision would help convince the other Councilmembers, or so she hoped. Finally the Head Councilman looked up at her. "Captain Callabine," the said. "We have taken both your reasons for your request and Commander Raine's support of your decision into account. We have made our final decision." Another Councilmember, the Head of Justice and Law, continued where the Head Councilman left off. "Your request is rather unusual, especially considering current events." Callabine started to have a sinking, sinking feeling. "However, it is not unheard of, nor has it not happened before. Taking everything into account, we have cast our votes on the matter and are satisfied with the outcome. We have unanimously decided to agree to your request." The Councilwoman smiled and leaned forward in her chair. "We truly hope that this will bring you happiness." Just then, a messenger rushed into the room and darted over to the Head of the High Council. "Excuse me, sir, but King Fejorn of Centauria has arrived early. They have landed about ten minutes ago." He stood back respectfully as the Council rose to their feet, the Head Councilman muttering something under his breath that made those closest to him laugh. "Meeting adjorned," he said quickly and the Council left the room.

He chuckled. "Yes, she was hurting herself, so I made sure she stopped." His ear twitched. "Go ahead. I can hear her out there, take your time."

XD

"Well, there is no easy way to put it, theses ships, are alive. They are a space breathing species that appeared in our realm, over time they extend the hand of friendship, offering to let our people "bond" with them. The bond that is develop, once the first new years rocky years are over, is extremely strong. It is not odd if the ships goes into mourning if there bond is strong, and leave. Unless the ship bond with it captain is weak, they normally don't re-bond" He watch Crut face "This ship, Zathoras, is bonded with Ja'noth. Now, there is a price to pay for such bond, I believe you saw first hand what happen to Meva when she kept her mental bond open in the battle field, because of the fact that they relay images, emotions and so forth to each other, if the ship dies the captain is over whelmed."
