Quote: If Celestia could have turned any whiter she would have. "Mordihm he speaks the truth, he was under Valhalla's control before. We need Manex... he is Valhalla's successor now." She looked at Manex now. "But, Manex you will not have the same strength of power as Valhalla, if you did you would eventually become as corrupt as he is now.... no, you will rule the void and restore the shadows balance... with your daughter. She will complete the power needed to channel the dead, and help keep you from becoming corrupt. Even though she is the reason for his death, she is not the one who kills him. There is a point, that once Valhalla discovers her, he will try to kill her; she is vulnerable."
"Why do you keep trying to convince me that all my enemies are actually friends?"
"I am not." She sat down with her back to both of them. "Manex is a needed ally... and I can bring myself to forgive him... " Her voice faded off.

I have been fighting this for too long. Celestia found herself crying but tried to hide it. I have been selfish, trying to find another way but there's not.

Celestia came out of her daze and looked over at them.  "Manex can't kill me Mordihm,  thought he was convinced that he did earlier." She was referring to the stabbing.  "If vengeance is all you seek Manex I cannot accept your help, for vengeance on its own is the way of evil.   Valhalla merely cast you out for screwing up, he won't hold onto loose ends.  Unless you finally remember what evil he committed against the other shadow, including you.

"No, I do not seek vengeance. I only wish to save everything from Valhalla."

"Perhaps you can, but I cannot. Not until I know for sure he can be trusted." Mordihm hissed and walked off.

Manex just stood there, unmoving. "Thank you for having faith in me, Celestia." It could been seen in his eyes that he was telling the truth. "I don't give a da** if I'm trusted or not, I don't expect to be." He then faded from view.

"That's just like him, contemptuous, grumpy, immature, evil, compilation of space dust." Muttered Mordihm darkly. "An ally you can't even trust. This is just great!"

Two dazzling red eyes glinted as they slowly approached Valhalla. "Oh Master of death I have done much thinking and consider myself unworthy of you... I failed you when that light creature bested me and took that dagger. Please... I beg you, allow me to make it up to you?"

Quote: Orb took another shot. "Explosives may divert such a beast, bruise it, maybe fracture a few bones. Their scales protect them.... no you must use a weapon that can wedge between the scales, pierce the skin, and kill the heart. A sword can do it, but its often fatal to get that close... and then you have the fire or ices breath to worry about at a distance........... besides I am hunting something a bit worse than a Mobguar."

Senkah sighed deeply in exasperation with a "this isn't a good time" look on her face, but Valhalla just smiled at the fox(?). "You didn't fail me, child. I've been dealing with those morons ever since we started trying to take back what belonged to us."
