Quote: Helliana finished cleaning up. "I hate doing this to you... I hated doing it to Austin too... but he'd go stay somewhere else usually." She sighed then offered him another piece of soft cake setting it on the table. Then she pulled our her harp and started playing it. Calliope had not yet showed up from whatever she was doing upstairs.

Why are you sleeping on the couch?
He listened while quietly replying.

You'll find out if you ever decide to court a Centaurian mare. He did his best to avoid chuckling at that.
Ha I have one ... but I guess I never had to court her. No more either. She's enough to listen to. Can't imagine managing the entire herd of Memruke and more than one wife. Maybe its my age... might get easier later.

Hellaina smiled at him. "Is this music akin to your taste? I can play something else if you like?"

Shadyk trolled through a cluster of stars, looking for any ship that happened to stray just a bit too far outside of its territory. She was itching for a good fight; she hadn't had one in ages.
There was a ship on the distant radar but it was not strayed it was en route back to the Quadrantacle, coming from Shard Territory.

"You are welcome."  She sighed.  "Gotta take care of my stallion."  She got up to collect dishes then kissed him on the temple.

He is the new Elder. Bloak's pushing 475.  You remember the guy that loves his long beard too much, has had like 12 wives... that guy.  Still sharp and knows a lot though.

He nodded.

Hm, okay. I'll see how I can manage to bring her back. I don't think I'm going to like sleeping on a sofa anyway.

Probably. He immediately deleted the messages, still cautious of a certain someone in this town.

"No. That's fine." He smiled.

"No, you can bring whatever you want... Except the kitchen sink..."

"But I like that sink." :P  She teased.  "Thank you."   She sighed then strummed the harp and played a little more upbeat Celtic type tune.  She had earlier placed the necklace from Austin in her box of treasures.

He sighed hearing her comment and continued listening quietly.
