She started lapping it up, the white cream looking odd on her black fur.

The kittens continued playing around before getting bored again.

He took the occasional glance at her while working but didn't say much.

"Staying over a hot stove all day?" He shrugged.

Fuzz visibly shuddered at the mention of Drex pups. "Well you can't be working like this all the time."

Jug smiled and licked it off for her.

The rabbit wondered if they were staying permanently.

Shera's ears perked up then she sat the book down "Is it raining?"

Hellaina stared at him a bit then snickered and started laughing.


Calliope saw Veratix still there. "He is stalking us Festus."  She growled.

"Yes, well They are interviewing others. Kasha has the boy most of the time.  When she has the next baby There will be two more maids.  And I heard you are getting more guards too."  She mentioned.

She smiled at him, and waited for the waiter.

The kittens went to the warren entrance and lazily watched the sun set.

He looked up and over at the closed flap. "Yes."


__________________________________


"Yes, I know." He replied to Calliope, half chucking because of Helaina's laughter before turning back to her. "What did I say that's so funny?"

"Yes. No more sitting here alone." He chuckled.

Soon the piping hot cream cakes were brought t them.  "Here you go... another round of spiced cream?"  He asked.

Jug nodded yes.

The rabbit passed out, he still had his midnight munching to do.

Shera got up and rolled it up. The smell rushed in and the sound got louder.  She turned the buffer up and adjusted it which allowed them to hear outside but others not hear them. She then grabbed a blanket and wrapped up in it then snuggled next to Auran. "This is comfortable."

"Staying over a hot stove all day, as the reason she is saying  things that make no sense."  She shook her head. "Sorry that was just funny."

Calliope waited her turn a bt flustered that she was still not being taken seriously.  "Then stop him Festus.. he makes me nervous."



Helliana's smiled turned to a frown at her daughter words and she then started making breakfast.

"Yes more time off with your family. That is why they are doing it."  She informed. 

"Yes." She sniffed at the cake.

After a while and seeing the rabbit sleeping, they leapt out and walked off to their old den which wasn't far away.

"It is. He smiled looking at her for a few seconds and went back to what he was doing.

"I can't." He replied in a changed voice.

"Yes..." He sighed and lay back down.

Calliope did not understand. "But what if he is waiting for me to be alone? What if he does what that young stallion did? He was lurking at the door when you left me here alone. I do not understand? You are my protector.?" She pouted placing a little hand on him.

Hallania burnt her finger. "Shiznat!" She started sucking on it. Not commenting on anything that was happening. The matter upset her too much.

Shera woke up then looked at the sleeping stallion. She figured it time to close the flap but she did not want to disturb him. She adjusted him so his head was across her front legs instead of against her torso. She then just stared at him a long while, then gently started stroking his mane an feeling it. She was memorizing his face and thinking. She bent down and kissed his cheek.

Calliope hugged him. "I trust you but can't you just ask him to stop?"

Hellaina grabbed a piece of ice from the cooler and just listened as the food cooked. Yes brave stallion tell her how you are about to ruin her life when she trusts you so much.... she will learn to trust no one.

His daughter and grandchildren.  He sighed then went to sit down.  he leaned back and closed his eyes. Putting all dark thoughts and regrets from his mind.

While he was watching out the viewer, the smell of fresh, flourish fruits seeped in the room. Then the the scent of meat crossed his nose.
