Sam didn't like the faces she was making. "I will go get her." He quickly got up. "Don't go anywhere." Sam darted out.

Lola came over to him and then sat next to him. She closed her eyes in one last moment of resistance then rested her head on his shoulder. "Thank you." She whispered... reaching for his hand.

Aiden and Destiny scrambled back inside.

"Whichever one you like best." He pulled out a hologram. "I've been looking at houses ahead of time for both."

"Does it look like I will be?" she snapped, then sighed. "Sorry. I'm just in a lot of pain." She flinched as another contraction rippled through her.

Jessup, at first, didn't know how to react. It took him a minute to realize what she was doing, and he took her hand gingerly. "You're welcome."
"Ug you guys are everywhere." Ilykran sighed.

He had just gone out the flap. Later ha came back in with Lola. He went back to rubbing her back.

Lola started to boil water for washing. She then came over to Ricki. "Have you felt the urge to push yet?"

Lola kissed his cheek. Showing that she accepted him Then she sat up. "I am baking you a pie." She smiled.

"Yups, we is!" Feline squealed. Legend leaped onto Aiden and started wrestling with him. Pepper snuggled closer into Illy's arms for protection from her rowdy siblings.

"I found this, for in the city." He pulled up a page.

"And in the country, there's this."

"The first one looks a bit busy, if you ask me. But you pick whichever one you want." He kissed her cheek. "And if you don't like these, I can look at some more."

"Yes." Rickie's sides noticably tightened as a contracton clutched her insides, and she grit her teeth. "I just felt the foals shift."

"Really?" He cocked a brow, but grinned a bit. "You haven't made those in a while." He kissed her cheek gently. There was something different about the way he kissed her that time. He had started to actually fall in love with her, and she wasn't some trophy to parade around, or an anchor for genes anymore.
"Legend no!" He scolded him. "No baby brothers to small for tackling." He felt bad while at the same time cringing to rescue his littlest guy. "We will have counsins come over for that in a bit." Illy sighed. "No owies okay."

"Foal..S?" Sam gulped. He was twins with Corsicka himself. And remembered how much work it was for his mother.

"Okay...." Lola was nervous since she had only done this twice with single foals only. She prepared to catch. "With the next big one try a push."

Lola slightly smiled. "Yeah... it has been a while... I was feeling unwanted. I am sorry." She said softly.

"Awwwww!" Legend whined loudly.

"Yeah. Surprisingly enough, these aren't as expensive as you'd think. They're Lunar Cat designs, I'm pretty sure, and those are surprisingly cheap."

Rickie didn't even bother to reply, and did as she was told.

About two hours later, Rickie had two foals beside her: One colt, and one filly. It had been a hard birth, and Rickie was worn out, but she'd survived. The filly was blonde, and had her mother's blue eyes. Her horse half was bay. She looked almost identical to her mother, save for the hair, but had some features related to Sam, as well. The colt was the spitting image of Sam, and could even be taken as a tiny version of him.

"Of course I want you, Lola." Jessup hesitated for a second, before he added, "I love you."
"I know my son. in a few months he will be stronger, just play gentle... gentle with baby brother." Iilykran spoke soft yet firm to his colt.

"Well I like the second one." She kissed his cheek. "As long as the lunar cat designs compensate for you studly physique it should be fine." She scrunched her nose and giggled.

Lol cleaned everything up then started making dinner. Sam stayed by her side. "He beautiful Rickie." He kissed her cheek. He was still nervous for his wife. He thought about how he would deal with making sure the Chieftain didn't destine his son for baiting.

She dropped her wooden spoon on the floor from the shock. She looked at him with big eyes. "You do?" She then turned her head quickly so she could wipe her tears. She hated the living there, but had made the most of it and despite his issues she had grown attached to Jessup. She just never thought he would reciprocate feelings for her. "I .. I do to." She managed to get out.

Shy-vy had kept getting pestered by the other Ruke mares. They were teasing her about the legitimacy of her foal since she had a reputation. Plus she hadn't told Conner yet. but they all hated her. Once mare went as far as starting a rumor which reached Kraken ears. He confronted Connor. Shy had gone to the river to bathe and do laundry or the sake of privacy from the other mares.

"What is this I hear about Shy starting up dissension again? Is it even your foal? I thought if anyone could you would be able to keep a tighter reign on her." He snorted.

Shy was unaware of the rumor. But she wasn't alone at the river as some past times were watching from the bushes. They kept their distance because Corine was here also doing laundry.

(stirring up trouble )

Legend went off to pout.

Rickie murmured in reply, but she was too tired to talk.

"What foal?" Connor wasn't in a fighting mood, but that didn't mean he was in a good one, either. Heck, Connor was never in a good mood. 'If there's a foal, it's mine. She is never out of the tent unless I know where she is, and when she is out, it's never for more than five or ten minutes."
Illy put pepper down then went to go pick up legend. "Daddy will wrestle with you as soon as I finish breakfast." He kissed his cheek.

Lola made some tonic for her. "Here Rickie.. this will help.. this and sleep." She said quietly.

Lola then picked up the spoon and cleaned it off. "Did your dad really beat you?" She had a sad pouty face for him as she asked.

"You know the mares talk to each other. The word reached my ear that she is messing around and is in foal to one of the stallions. Other than you. If it s not true I will put a lid on it... is she inside?" Kraken asked. He intended to ask her himself.


The stallions waited for Conrine (whatever your mare's name is ) to leave.


Angeline came was on her way back with the food basket. She saw the two talking and stood there waiting as her face stared at the ground.

Legend just wiggled to be let down.

Rickie was barely awake. She wrapped her hand around the tonic, and swallowed it. It tasted acrid, and if she was awake, she probably would have spit it out before it reached her throat, but she was too tired to care.

"She's out by the river to bathe. She hasn't been gone for longer than five minutes. I know for a fact that it's just a rumor."
"Tough guy huh?" Illykran tickled him hen put him down.

Sam just stayed with her and watched over the foals as she rested.

Lola sighed. "That is very sad... no one should do that to an innocent child."

Shy picked up the cleaned laundry and put her shirt back on. She shook dry then headed back. Once around the bend she got a rude awakening and was drug off the path into the thick brush and trees. She struggled and kicked but two were to many. "Let go!" She growled. Connor will kill let go!"

"Is it true?"

She kept her mouth shut.

"Are you going to cause trouble again?" he smirked. "You father will do it if Connor doesn't."

"Let go Shalon I am not your pet. I am Connor's wife."

*smack* "Thats for running out on me... how many studs to you have a foal with? Mhhh where is it?"

Shy pursed her lips tight. He wasn't finding out.


Kraken nodded. "Very well. I will make sure the Mares shut it."

Legend grumbled, and shuffled away. When Illy wasn't looking, Feline threw a toy clock at Legend.

(I hope that, if I have kids one day, that they do not throw things -_-)

Jessup just shrugged with resignation. "My dad had no morals at all. There's a reason he went through mares so quickly. He was... a million times worse than my brother is to his mares. They never lived long." Jessup had to turn away so that Lola wouldn't see his face. Emotion was bubbling up through the hard, cold exterior that Jessup had built around himself for years to survive the horrors that he'd grown up in. Lola was his first mare, and for the first few weeks he had her, he had been just as abusive as Connor was. But he'd realized later that he was turning to the monster that his dad was... and that's why he had started treating Lola so kindly. He didn't want to be what his father had been.

Connor nodded. "Thank you." He almost asked Kraken if he could get the mares to tone down the teasing, as well, but decided against it. Tough luck. She needs to get used to it. But the idea that there were rumors going around had Connor uneasy. When he had Jesslyn, he'd caught her in Samuel's tent. What if Shy was doing the same? The thought alone almost made Connor bulk up. If those rumors turned out to be true... the stallions that Shy had messed around with wouldn't see the light of dawn again. And Shy would probably suffer a similar fate.
