Her blood seeped into his mouth along with a toxin designed to impair him. She lay there under him. Shaking. Scales had formed to help guard against his teeth from an instant kill. "Forgive me.. it's you he wants... the infant will be taken later." She choked as the sensation of death for her was near. "You can't change what you are." She kissed him then passed out.
