Sara stopped. She looked over into the field, where Chester was chasing the bull. She felt a bit shy, but she called, "Do you need help?"

Two stallions stood by the fence. One had blonde hair and blue eyes, and was a grullo; the other had brown hair and brown eyes, and was a chestnut. Both were handsome, especially for Rukes.
(Aw, I remember that. Made me sad too.
)
Chester turned around and smiled in a friendly way. "If you'd like to, that'd be a great help!"

(I'd like to have her stay in the Ruke camp.)
The "slave master/seller guy" walked up to them. "Can I help you?" He asked.
"Okay!" Sara came around and trotted to the gate.

The blonde one moved on.
Jake nodded. "I'm interested in her," he pointed to the Ruke mare.
Chester waited for her, smiling. The bull snorted from across the pasture.

"Her?" The stallion nodded, and brought her over. He waited with slight impatience. The mare visibly tensed, her face slightly grimacing.
Sara smiled kindly to him as she came inside the fence. "Which way do you need me to go?"

Jessup checked her out for a minute, before he gave the stallion the payment. "I'll buy her."

"Just stay on my right side. If he bolts, don't try to stop him. He holds no regard for anybody trying to herd him." Chester shook his head, and then smiled. "Ready?"

The stallion grinned and took the amount. "Thanks for your business." he said, turning away.
The mare let out a small groan.
(I hate that! I didn't find a good picture for Braxton for the longest time!)
"Yup!" Sara grinned eagerly.

Jessup led her back to his tent. When he reached it, he turned to face her. "What is your name?" His voice was calm, and not demanding or harsh like most Rukes. It was noticable right away that he was a gentle Ruke, which was extremely rare in this camp.
Chester bolted into a trot toward the bull. He yipped to him, and slapped his hand on his hip to try to get him going.

"Amelia." she answered. Her voice was slightly curious--noting his nature--but she didn't look up at him.
Sara stayed on Chester's right side, just as he'd asked.

"My name is Jessup." He put his hand on her chin and gently lifted it to meet his gaze. "I'm not a rigid stallion. You can look at me; just don't look the others in the eye." He kissed her lips softly. "I won't hit you. I'm not like the others."
Chester circled around the bull, and he moved toward the pen. "Okay! Push him forward just a bit more!" he called to Sara.

Amelia's brown eyes looked into his for a moment, and then away. She didn't react to his words more than a brief nod.
Lola let the curtain fall and went to the back wall crying.
Amelia looked toward the tent, hearing Lola. Her brows came together curiously.
Sara nodded, and did so.

Jessup ushered her away. "Go down to the lake and wash up. I need to get things ready for you."
