There had to be a lever on the other side of the door... somewhere. Nakiso used his mind to attempt to turn it, and after several seconds, it worked. Riku and Nakiso began walking in.

Si'ralle made this face: -_- "I'm so stupid." She muttered, just out of reach of Riku and Nakiso. She followed them in, but something snapped inside of her instantly. She could remember this place. Somehow. Like in another life or something.

Nothing could have prepared Riku or Nakiso for what was in the hallway before them.

Dozens of Gingercats were all lying on the ground in awkward positions. None of them were alive.

Si'ralle let out a small, quiet, quick squeal of shock as she put a hand over her mouth. Her left eye, the only one visible (as the other was hidden by the small tan eyepatch), was widened in pure terror. Her face was stricken, a horrored look frozen onto her face. She closed her eyes and turned her head away, too shocked to trust herself to say anything. "Riku... Nakiso... W-who could be so cruel...?" She whispered, her hand still over her mouth.

"I-I don't know..." Riku breathed. Sliding doors on the side (kind of like the ones at walmart but are pure metal, you can't see inside them) were sealed shut. Many more dead Gingercats were down the hallway. Nakiso resumed walking down the hallway.

"Are you crazy?" Riku called after him.

Gingercats were exactly like cats, but they stood upright like humans, had talons for feet, and their hands were more bear-like.

Si'ralle watched Nakiso, then lunged forward a step. She came to stand beside Riku, her face shocked that Nakiso could just keep walking. She couldn't exactly stand to look at the awkward-looking fallen corpses, so she turned away again. "A cruel game, Riku... S-such a cruel game..."

"We need to get to the surveillance room." Riku whispered to her. "Then we might be able to find out what happened."

She swallowed her protest, nodding. "Then let's go." Her words were barely more than a whisper. She couldn't quite grasp why someone would do such a thing as this.

When they reached the surveillance room, Nakiso was sitting in one of the chairs. He was still shaken up about what had happened to the Gingercats, but knew there was a job to be done. Boron followed in after Riku and Si'ralle.
