Even though the engines were working, they were having a very hard time. It couldn't be running this way for long, otherwise they would burn out. Riku ran to the cockpit, "it's working, but I don't know how much longer these engines can keep doing this!" He shouted over the noise. It was indeed lucky that the Battek had twin dark matter cores to power it, otherwise the engines would have blown long ago.

"Wait for me." Shandrack ordered then put her finger behind here ear.

She appeared on board the Batteck in the control room. Startling the Lunar cats.

"I know Kostos is flying my gunship, if he tosses the rope to the open cockpit of the Battek we could slid into my c14 before this thing blows to bits, because it's going to blow up sometime soon!" She called back. "We just gotta make it there..." She pushed the lever harder, until she shot up from one side of the battle. She pressed a button on her earpiece.

Si'ralle: Kostos! We need your help! You're in my gunship, right?

Kostos - Yeah. Nakila is flying her.

Si'ralle - I'm gonna have to fly the Battek near you! Riku is going to open the cockpit, and you need to toss the rope that I attached to the floorboard into the cockpit. We gotta slide into the cockpit of my c14 before this thing blows!

Kostos - Alright!

"Riku! Open the cockpit! Kostos is gonna toss the grappeling rope to the opening, and we're going to have to slide down it like a zipline, k?" Si'ralle called as she evaded nuclear missles and proton lasers, nearing the c14, where Kostos was waiting with the grappeling rope and an open cockpit.

ok re-do... Shandrack's shuttle was sitting in front of the Battek practically dead in the water. She saw you two through the viewer in the cockpit. Then you two maneuver past them before she teleported onboard to find out what's going on and if you could help... So now Shandrack is stranded among the debris with a firefight around them.

Riku nodded, slamming down on the button that opened the cockpit.

The grappling hook instantly lodged it in the floor of the cockpit. "It's gonna lurch, but we gotta do this!" She let go of the controls and grabbed onto the rope, sliding easily and quickly into the empty cockpit of the c14. She motioned for Riku to follow, and to hurry.
