The Best Arrangement for a Tiny Bird

So I have an issue. I got a bunch of chicks from Tractor Supply this spring. One of them turned out to be a Serama mix. Guys, this hen is TINY. She's like, the size of a quail. Which is why she is currently with the quail, not the chickens.

But I've heard that chickens can give quail diseases, so this is not a good long term solution. My other chickens like to free-range in the yard a lot of the time, but I don't think this is safe for her. My dog has made an unfortunate habit of going after chicks, so I couldn't let the Serama out; the dog may try to make a snack of her.

I don't want to keep her alone, that sounds cruel. But keeping her inside also seems like a bad idea. What do I do with this chicken?!?!

I can help! This happened to me. This teeny tiny bird has turned out to be my smartest and friendliest chicken. She actually hangs out on my shoulder. She does fine with the larger chickens. Because she is so tiny, she's quick and easily out maneuvers the other hens. She can roost higher and also buries under the houses to hide her eggs (which is a pain for me). Give it a try! I'm sure she'll adapt and everything will be fine. As far as the dog, I don't have one but the neighbors on both sides do and they frequently wander into the yard, along with the neighbor's cats. The chicken still out maneuvers even the dogs and cats.
