Thought I'de share this link for anyone looking for a DIY duck pond, or a nice pond idea in general! There are other videos too, but this own is very detailed, and it look really great in the end! The picture is another way to layer the rock too, for a fun look!

Many peeps have much time on their hands and plenty of items to repurpose. (like that tractor tire). I am a pragmatist, and try to do things simple ways. I can create same thing as you posted in last 3 pictures with a $4 item now available on clearance. (after season) ,,, Have no idea where to get a tractor tire near me.
I just don't have any of those decorative stones,
I think this plastic pool would hold up better than a plastic dropcloth.

this is amazing , we also made a pound at our farm and we had a issue with water filling and maintenance so we get Purbaha smart water level controllers so no we don't have much issues and pound is clean
