We ordered pullets from Meyer Hatchery - 2 each of the following: Australorp, Barnevelder, Easter Egger, Speckled Sussex, Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock and Welsummer. I'm tempted to add 3-4 Bantams to the order - just because I think they are cute.

You have brown-egg layers and blue-egg layers. Maybe you could add a couple of hens that lay white eggs, then you will have a nice variety of egg colors.

Have you decided on which aviary netting you plan on using?
I'm at that stage where I need to do a little research to find the best for strength & longevity myself.
