The best mellow egglaying chicken?

I want to get a chicken that is a superb egg layer, but also is mellow i.e wont attack my hand when retrieving eggs/ won't bully my other chickens. What is my chicken?

My first 2 choices are Orpingtons and Jersey Giants. Good layers and mellow. The Orps tend to go broody but not all of them.
Delawares and Faverolles are good choices too.
Anconas, Leghorns, Minorcas and Jaerhons are champs at laying white eggs and won't attack your hand but they are more flighty. 'they're just not that into you'

I've had great success with my barred rock...6 large eggs/week and very gentle with flock and humans...but maybe I just a good one...

I would go for red sex links. The Golden Comets from Meyer are the calmest, sweetest chickens I have, and they lay eggs like crazy. Far more than my Barred Rocks.

Barred Rocks are nice, too. I do not like hatchery Orpingtons--I've only had terrible layers.
