If you have old PVC pipe laying around preferably 4" you can turn it into a chicken waterer. We did 24" down, connect to a T then 25" on each side glue 2 caps on each side on the bottom and leave the top cap unglued for filling. Drill holes for the Poultry Chicken Nipples on the bottom. Ours holds about 6gal for 8 chickens. We just installed it and it has been working great. 3 days without refilling but I think it will need refilled in a day or so. Our total cost was about $5 for the nipples and I think about $10 for the caps we needed. The pipe and stuff was just laying around.
