I never found out with my babe. I thought that was the ultimate. However, the sucker does have a weird name because of it. Poor kid. Could you imagine screaming "Avenz Galt Mollenhour get yer booty over here right now"...? Poor baby. Boy or girl? You can't tell can you?

Huh - with #1, I was assured the baby was a girl, so got to go into labor knowing which way it was going to come out.

Except of course that it was actually a boy, so I got to be surprised *also*

Good luck, and enjoy the peek (with both of mine, the ultrasound was really done against my better more rational inclinations, partly to make *darn sure* it wasn't twins given my family history and partly to satisfy DH's wishes... but it sure was cool seeing the proto-kid wigglin' around in there)

Where did the name come from, Avenz Galt Mollenhour? I have no idea if thats a boy, or girl, but I'm thinking...boy?

I haven't done the wedding band thing, but I've been tempted. I remember when I was little watching my Mother do that to friends of hers. I'm going to try to do it before Tuesday and see what it says.

We didn't find out with our first two, but did with our last and I'm glad we did. We were much better prepared for her. I am tempted to let it be a surprise this time, but truthfully it's still a surprise. It's just a matter of when we are going to be surprised. I have to have this ultrasound, it check for downs, spinal bifida and other abnormalities without having to have an amnio. I'm driving two hours to a facility with special equipment and it is so high tech that I know we'll be able to tell since it will be in advanced 2D and 3, or 4D.

Well congrats to you, all of you!!! I just had my first child, a daughter, 5 months ago as of tomorrow. As I type this I'm working on getting her to go to sleep at a bed time...it's gotten mixed reveiws from both Hannah (our daughter) and my husband who I have to beat away from the door everytime she cries a little....

I pray the baby, no matter the sex, will be healthy, happy and you will be as well. Good luck and I will be following your story with interest!!
