I've got two questions, really. My two roosters go after the same girl and create a stack. Yeah, it's really comical - in fact, once I saw the girl pop out from the bottom. I've no idea what was actually going on!

So .... are my eggs being fertilized or what? I'm thinking that the newest fella needs to hit the road, 'cept I know he'll go straight to freezer camp and that isn't why this household raises chickens.

The other question, a friend wants my eggs to incubate. How does one store enough for that purpose? We have 8 girls, one broody at this time, so we are getting 5 to 7 eggs a day. Do they just sit on the counter in the kitchen 'til there's enough?

Thanks all, Caroline

I can just picture them all stacked up

. If you leave the eggs at room temperature I believe they are good for up to seven days before incubation. But I'll leave that up to the experts, I have never incubated before. But thanks for the funny story!

We had stacking too so we sent them to Freezer Camp.
(I'm not sure about this because I read this from a packet thing for another country.) Keep the eggs in a dark and not wet place. Do not keep the eggs over 5 days and try collecting all at one place. I think lol
