I think so, yeah. There are many kinds of rock though. Same as with metal. I personally prefer hard rock, which is slightly more "chill" than metal. And for metal I like metalcore and heavy metal. It's kind of confusing and hard for me to explain, but there are many branches of rock and metal, than stemmed off of the original forms of rock and metal.
