The Breakfast Box

Wow, your husband does beautiful work! I LOVE the tiny little deck outside the pop door! Might want to think about an Adirondack chair or two out there for them.

I love this whole coop! The storage will be well used under the nest boxes. Have you considered putting hardware cloth over your windows so no one can get in a eat your ladies while they get beauty sleep?

Very nice coop! You are going to want to insulate. This last winter was not too bad, but we could get a doozy in next year or two. A well insulated coop with good upper ventilation will do good in Michigan's winters.

Once again, a very nice looking coop!

Just roofed it today with regular shingles. Yes my husband is a carpenter. Specializes in stone, marble & tile

. If you were closer, I would definitely send him, he does wonderful wood work (I have beautiful bookcases to show for it)!

Darn! Yes, I do wish you lived closer. My dh is a certified roofing contractor--he & his crew install all types of shingles, including the metal shingles, slate, & shakes---he could have roofed your coop in exchange for your dh making shelves for me. Mine doesn't mind doing the rough carpentry stuff, but he won't do finish carpentry. I'm having the worst time trying to locate a good carpenter.

Keep posting photo updates, ok?
