THE Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco Thread; Hatches, etc. (PICS)

click my user name, go to my web site, click on incubation page and there is pictures and information of what I did. I only used my brinsea to hatch in one time because it is so small but when I did, it worked out fine. I use it for incubation all the time but then move them to styrofoam ones for hatching.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Jim. With the paper towels, do the eggs get wet? And does it matter if the eggs get a little wet on the bottom to keep the humidity up above 70?

btw.... I also use styrofoam for hatching, but can't find the plug to my Genesis.

Are you talking about the transformer plug? Or the red one on the top?

My eggs didn't get wet. The paper towels are really flat in the bottom. I had 16 eggs in mine and hatched 13 chicks when I used it to hatch. I have never had a problem with my Brinsea other then a month or so ago the heater went bad and I sent it back to Brinsea and they fixed it and sent it back and I now have 22 eggs in it and 9 in my genesis of LF HRIR. It was just a week Saturday night since I set them.
You should call the Incubator Warehouse 208 740 1344 and tell them you need a new plug. I'd bet they have them. Also GQF number is 912-236-0651 I'm sure one of these would get you what you need.

The paper towels worked great!!! Thank you so much Jim. Humidity stayed above 70 all night and all morning.

I just took a drinking straw, put it down through the vent hole in lid, pushed it through the tray and squirted water through it with a needle syringe. I kept it wet. lol Even if it leaked out, just sit the bator on an old towel. lol
Glad it worked for you.
Jim
